Omoyele Sowore Re-Elected AAC Chairman, Party Pledges Commitment to Justice and Equity

Omoyele Sowore has been re-elected as the National Chairman of the African Action Congress (AAC) at the party’s National Convention held in Abuja on Saturday, November 29, 2025. The convention also saw the election of a new National Working Committee, which will steer the party’s affairs in the coming years.

In his acceptance speech, Sowore reaffirmed the party’s commitment to justice, social equity, and people-centered governance. He emphasized that the AAC will continue to challenge the status quo and work towards a new Nigeria where governance is transparent, inclusive, and accountable to the people.

The newly elected National Working Committee includes prominent party members such as Pastor Sam Ajeigbe, Deputy National Chairman (Admin); Enefa Georgewill, Deputy National Chairman (South-South); and Chioma Ifemeludike, Deputy National Chairman (South-East), among others.

The convention was attended by party delegates, stakeholders, media representatives, and observers from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), who reaffirmed the AAC’s determination to usher in a political order founded on justice, social equity, and people-centered governance
